Today we had Movement in our classroom! We did the hokey-pokey, listened to the silly book "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell," and played other fun games.
The other mixed up thing that happend was Paul was a Turtle again today! Carol was out sick, and so it was a good thing we had Paul, especially because we got to tap into his expert sled-pulling abilities.
One popular Choice Time activity has been working with the magnetic pattern blocks. Today we extended this learning by taking it into another dimension. An important component of cognitive development is the ability to translate ideas from one medium to another, and by drawing their 3-dimensional designs on triangle grid paper, they are doing just that!
