A Very Busy Morning

The Turtles spent some of this rainy morning finishing up many of our class art projects for the upcoming Art Show (April 8th). We put the finishing touches on our "Peaceful Place."

We also added some more wire and beads to our sculptures.

And made dough for soft pretzels.

Meanwhile, friends were also preparing to put on a show. Instruments were selected, programs written up and the stage was decorated.

A space was made for audience members and tickets were distributed. Friends were so busy getting ready for the show, that the actual show was not fully developed. We are assured, however, that some kind of performance will be happening sometime soon - just not today.

Movement class with Missy gave the Turtles a much-needed chance to stretch their muscles. We jogged and did exercises on our spots, then played a variety of games with the parachute.

Next, Missy put out balls and nets and tunnels and wooden eggs to balance on spoons and the Turtles took full advantage of all the activities.

Back in Turtleland, we had another Morning Meeting to get ready for Choice Time. Tamara challenged to recognize their names, which were partially hidden inside a block.

We had time to finish twisting up the pretzel dough, while other friends worked on their Still Lifes. There was lots of music in the room, as the keyboard and recorders were being played. It was a very busy morning.
